Daniel Carona
A wily and smiley young man with an itch for mischief.
He never stops smiling. That's the first thing people notice. Doesn't matter if something goes awry, if it's not a smirk, it's a toothy grin. It puts some people off, unable to read his genuine emotions. But underneath that stupid, two-faced facade lies a hint of brilliance. It's best not to show all your cards at once, right?
Commander Carona. The name just doesn't roll off the tongue, does it? Daniel's fine being typical blonde-haired, green-eyed Daniel. With his Spirit Curti by his side, he can do anything he sets his mind to.
Daniel rose to fame during the Zarenian Rebellion. His wit and flexibility saved his and his soldier's lives countless times over. On top of his charisma and charm, he has gained a significant following among both men and women. Children also gravitate to his love of fun and mischief. No one can avoid becoming victim to his pranks.

When in Sync with his Spirit Curtidagua, Daniel is able to mold water into whatever shapes he likes. The larger or the more complex the shape, the more Spiritual Power required to manipulate and control it.

Personal history
Daniel would consider his birth nothing more than ordinary: born in a rickety shack to a couple of struggling farmers who nonetheless were pleased with the arrival of their youngest son. But with his parents were far too busy to worry after him and his brothers reluctant to babysit, Daniel spent much of his childhood roaming the farm and the surrounding woods. Used to doing things the way he wants, Daniel doesn't hesitate to butt heads with anyone who disagrees with him. And no one can deny his brilliance.
At the age of six, Daniel set up a booth in the village to sell potatoes. His father had a successful harvest that year and didn't need the extra. The practice spread to the rest of Zarenia, where the Potato Feast is now an annual gathering of potato carving, potato eating, potato throwing, bobbing for potatoes, and other potato-ey activities.
At age ten, Daniel rigged an outdoor stove with some help from his brothers. The family could now cook and heat the house simultaneously (similar to a Korean ondol). He was tired of his mother complaining of the cold, and he quite liked not needing the warmth of several blankets. His heating system proved popular with the village and the family was booked out for months. Daniel weaved the first coin he earned into his lifestone.
At age 12, Daniel was apprenticed to the local beadworker. He had no patience for stone carving and instead fumbled his way through his apprenticeship. He halfheartedly gave his parents his coming-of-age Lifestone as per tradition, but delved no further into the craft.
It wasn't long after Daniel turned 18 that things went awry. His mother disappeared, sending him and his eldest brother Brandon "Chase" Carona on a quest to find her. During this journey Daniel encountered Curtidagua. Jorden remained behind to look after their ailing father. Sometime during their search, Guardians seized the family farm on the pretense they were hiding rebels. Daniel's father was known to criticize the Alanuan nobility, especially those in Zarenia. Jorden was placed on house arrest (to later flee the village with Diaroca).
Daniel holds claim to the title First Spiriter of Zarenia. Technically, Brandon also has a claim, but he considers such things trivial and a waste of time.
