Aethid
An Aethid is the child of two (or sometimes more) Erlithmanil and are considered minor elements. These beings represent new personifications of nature, given consciousness and body. Their element is generally related to both of their parents. Scholars argue whether their element was once a domain of their parents, now given up to them, or if their birth gives form to something entirely new or unclaimed. These children were born between the renewal and downfall of he Erlithmanil.
Aethids were not destroyed and sealed away during the downfall and they still eternally wander Emynea. Many of them pose as gods among the mortals and benefit from their parents' absence. A number of them also act as defenders of those peoples which revere them. Because of this, those in Accia are not fully aware of every Aethid. Unlike their parents before them, they readily sire children among humans, able to blend in with them and live among them easily. Aethid children and those descending from these children are Divine Descendant.
Known Aethid include Sylthari the Celestial, Banalkar the Hunter, Ilnid the Arenaceous, Ralgotar the Volcanic, Vekaltor and Rylmer the Atmospheric Twins, Zuvaath the Invertebrate and Malrot the Microscopic. There are still whispers and legends of more Aethid in far off lands encompassing forces such as pain, lust or even monstrosities but the information on these entities is limited.

Basic Information
Anatomy
Relatively similar or identical to Humans. Similarly, they possess two forms, a human form and a magic form. However, their magic form is far more dramatic and powerful as they are still the source and center of their element. Unlike humans, using their magic does not deplete them. They are able to alter their sex, gender and cosmetic changes of their appearance, much like their parents. They can also grow to relatively giant sizes but not nearly to the same proportions their parents were capable of.
Different Aethid tend to have different capabilities depending on what they represent. This makes some of them more powerful than others. For example, both Sylthari and Ralgotar are known among their kind as being capable of extreme acts of destruction too large for ordinary settings, especially as Sylthari embodies forces of enormous scale. There is reason the other Aethid defer to her, aside from Sylthari being the eldest. Meanwhile, Aethid like Banalkar, Zuvaath and Malrot are quite disconnected from humanity and have immense flexibility from their elements instead. Each Aethid is unique.
Genetics and Reproduction
Aethid are able to breed with humans readily, undergoing the same reproductive cycle and process. Their children are still restricted to two racial magics like all other humans but Divine Descendants tend to inherit more powerful abilities and possess a more profound connection to their parent's element. Many of them possess far more magic energy than ordinary humans, have healthier or hardier constitutions and, when wielding certain magics, can tolerate more raw elemental power.
Some divine descendants are even able to draw out more power from their Racial Magic depending on what they inherit. Apparently, some of their children are prone to or more likely to possess True Magic or even exclusive forms depending on the ethnicity of the human they have a child with. Many royal lines across Emynea are divine descendants, assuring their rule either because they descend from a regional deity or because of the power their descent allots them.
Growth Rate & Stages
They were conceived and born in the same reproductive cycle as humans but once reaching optimal maturity and growth, their bodies maintained regenerative state and do not diminish into old age. Like their parents, they are immortal. Many of them also did not awaken their full powers right away either, generally undergoing an awakening of sorts. The conception of and exact nature of Aethids are mysterious even among the Erlithmanil, some suspecting this was a detail Luxis had not considered upon the creation of the Eelithmanil.
Biological Cycle
Some of them like to hibernate for centuries at a time. Ralgotar, for example, hibernates within Pénglái Shān in Yánjīng. He awakens from time to time to both check up on his descendants and re-explore the contemporary age. They also are affected by any alterations or developments in nature associated with their element. After all, they are but embodiments of nature itself, these elements an extension of their bodies.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
They are connected to their own singular plane. They can feel anything occurring there and can shift their perception to it as well. Other perceptions differ from individual to individual.
Civilization and Culture
Naming Traditions
Granted names by the Erlithmanil, their names come from the same ancient alphabet as their parents' names. Their full names can be quite long and are meant to be used only among their own kind. Instead, they will take pieces of their full name to craft a shortened version.
