Ralgotar
Emperor Ralgotar (a.k.a. Huangdi/The Volcanic)
Ralgotar is a minor element, an Aethid and the son of Ferith - Fire and Ylithuum - Earth. They are the element of magma and volcanic activity in general.
Much like Ilnid, his half-brother, he enjoys playing the role of god among humanity and his favorite location is Yaxiya, whether this is Zhongguo or further south along Ralgotar's Palm and Vekaltor's Isles. There are many islands throughout the seas of Emynea which worship and owe their abilities to him. Ralgotar is also the patron of the imperial bloodline in Zhongguo or more specifically of the Sì Xiàng : Four Dynasties. He hibernates underneath the capital volcano for long stretches of time.
Ralgotar can be somewhat unpredictable but he also grows bored easily. This is primarily why he prefers to hibernate for long periods of time, breaking his immortal existence into more manageable pieces. When he does emerge, he acts as the emperor of Zhongguo, occasionally siring new imperial bloodlines—especially if he is displeased with the current dynasty. He enjoys watching his descendants vie for his favor. For this reason, there are a number of different descendants who compete for control though this can change dramatically between eras as he isn't opposed to "starting fresh" from time to time. Also much like Ilnid, he is thankful to Sylthari for the sealing of their parents, enjoying no longer living in their shadow. Like many of the Aethid, he looks up to her as an eldest sister of sorts but he also enjoys poking fun at her when he can.
Ralgotar is currently still sleeping beneath Zhongguo but his descendants have grown wary as signs of his re-emergence seem to indicate he will awaken soon. It is because of this that the heirs close to Prince Aldric Syltharis have their eyes set on securing an engagement with him. They know that if they cannot overthrow the Kingdom of Accia's influence over them, their only hope at maintaining their emperor's favor is if they were to marry directly into the royal line of those ruling them. Wu Zetian in particular has her eyes set upon Aldric. When he awakens, Tia Minx herself will feel the heat of his intense attention.

General Physical Condition

Ralgotar generally takes the form similar to those who worship him. Most of the time, that means he takes the form of a Huaren male but this will change if he travels to Ralgotar's Palm or Vekaltor's Isles. Much like his mother Ferith, he enjoys taking a form the human's of the era find attractive, possessing an appetite for admiration. Simultaneously, he enjoys rich culture and traditions like his other mother Ylithuum, always wearing elaborate, traditional garments.
Like most Aethid, his magic form is quite dramatic and he often can't take it without risking immense damage to those around him. Generally, he limits this form to an obsidian exterior to diminish the heat he emits. Hot magma runs underneath and he may allow some to leak out but he tries to be cautious of releasing pyroclastic clouds.

Like many Aethids, he is able to alter finer details of his appearance at will in order to blend in better with local ethnicities but he does have his favorites. He enjoys being as visually appealing as possible, soaking in admiration and attention of those around him. He enjoys presenting himself as the deity many revere him as.

Ralgotar is the embodiment of volcanic activity and has complete control of all volcanic magic—he is the source itself. Whether this is manipulating the volcanic activity of Emynea itself or generating these forces, he is a force of raw destruction often too much for any battlefield. Much like Sylthari, he was often discouraged from using his full abilities heedlessly if at all. Most of the time he settles for changing his body into his element, most often raw lava, pyroclastic clouds or obsidian blades. It's also quite easy for him to ignite the gases in the air with his immense heat, producing flame at need. He quite resembles Ferith when he does so.

Personal history
Like his Aethid brethren, Ralgotar was born to the union of two Erlithmanil during the Dark Era of Emynean history. He lived in the shadow of these entities for some time. He has Ylithuum's love for culture but Ferith's passion and taste for destruction. He always enjoyed getting involved in the wars and politics of human nations, eventually settling on Zhongguo as his favorite. He still greatly enjoys the region which has his namesake, Ralgotar's Palm, but the elaborate culture of Zhongguo retains his ever flippant attention most of his time awake. Unlike a number of other Aethid and despite missing his mothers, something he is unlikely to admit, Ralgotar greatly enjoys stepping out of the shadow of the Erlithmanil since their downfal. Much like his brother Ilnid, he thrives in the absence of the major elements and enjoys playing god with humanity. But make no mistake, he still reveres his mothers and makes no effort to hinder the people from doing the same.
Intellectual Characteristics

Ralgotar has a rich and complex personality. Much like his element, more is running under the surface than one might initially suspect. On this surface he is attention seeking, arrogant, fickle, flashy, unpredictable, passionate, magnetic and all too intense. He has a refined calm between his more passionate moments as well, brooding and thoughtful. Underneath the surface he hides a tricky intelligence, perception and comprehension. He has a mind for politics and clever ruses. He enjoys playing games with people to dig out their own hidden qualities, to see what gems lie in plain sight. He tends to fixate on the person of his interest and he will make this person feel special with constant doting and ardent advances.
He also hides a ferocious, explosive temper under his refined facade, waiting to lash out with devastating wrath. He tends to be uncaring of the damage he wreaks, fed by his passion but also by his taste for destruction. Despite all of his fire, he is skilled at fostering and nourishing growth in those around him. Typically, enthusiastic enjoyment of destruction aside, there is a purpose behind all of his actions and he actually possess abundant wisdom and insight. He adores human creativity and finds purpose in witnessing the special spark in each era he awakens to in whatever form that takes.

Family Ties
Ilnid is his half brother, Ylithuum mother to both of these Aethids. Despite being siblings and despite a similar enjoyment of playing god king, the two of them generally don't get along with each other. They are quite competitive, especially for their mother's affection. The only thing they agree on is their gratitude towards Sylthari.
