Eldingfjord
Also called the Static Scrublands, the majority of the surface of the Fulgurant Mesa consists of scrublands, the topsoil too thin to support anything more diverse. That isn't to say these lands are arid by any means, they are well irrigated by rivers, lakes and near constant roaming thunderstorms. They are in fact extraordinarily charged with electrical fields, much of the biome evolved to even subsist off of electricity. These plants and animals feed on the electric fields present in these scrublands or the lightning from the roaming storms while others are simply immune to these effects.
Localized Phenomena
Electricity in the form of lightning and even random, powerful discharges are common in this region. Pockets of electrically charged air pop up across this region sporadically and the thunderstorms which roam the surface possess unpredictable and highly frequent electrical activity. Traveling here without an immunity, adaption or gear is extremely dangerous. Especially given the abilities of the wildlife calling the region home, many empowered by this electricity. Some are even known to store and discharge electricity as a means of protection or to deter aggressors.
