Rain is a sentient dhole who has lived for tens of thousands of years. He is one of the ten primary Elemental Familiars. While they were still young, Rain looked up to Duff like a big brother. While they've grown apart, he still respects Duff quite a bit and they have a positive relationship. Unlike Duff, Rain is not opposed to fulfilling his duties as a familiar and has a relationship of mutual respect with Wylrith. Rain is also extremely proud of his draconic form which resembles eastern dragons far more than western ones. Unlike many of the others, he has little preference for the forms he takes and is highly adaptable in this regard.

Rain is very adaptable in regards to what form he will take up but he does enjoy aquatic and amphibious creatures given his element. While he can alter his color and other physical characteristics, he prefers sticking to his birth pigmentation or blues depending on which species he is in the form of. Like Duff, he is very proud of his draconic form and he finds his birth form elegant. He sometimes has a preference for petite forms as well.
Like the other elemental familiars, Rain has a special draconic form he gained through her pact with Wylrith: a water dragon. There are other kinds of water dragons tied to specific aspects, such as an Azure Dragon, but only Rain can take on the ultimate water magic form which possesses qualities and abilities of all five aspects. This is the ultimate bestial expression of this element.

Like Duff, Rain is one of the original ten beasts chosen to fight alongside the Accian hero and they were once quite close. Rain was always in Duff's footsteps and was quick to follow his example in forging a pact with the Erlithmanil he guarded. Over the thousands of years following this, Rain was finally able to step out of Duff's shadow and become an individual. Despite differences in their perspectives Duff and Rain still respect each other considerably and is one of the few familiars Duff is able to tolerate and perhaps even consider a friend.

Morality & Philosophy
Much like his master, Rain has a very flexible mindset and a very neutral morality. He walks the middle path viewing each situation individually and deciding what is right or wrong based on circumstances. He can be mild and understanding, empathetic and flexible, but he is also capable of being exceptionally cold and ruthless. He can be level headed, serene and understanding in some situations or he can be hot headed and severe. It all depends on the situation and his present emotional state.

Rain genuinely believes the revival of the Erlithmanil is what is best for Emynea. He is still rather neutral compared to Stella or Wyrm who are all in or all out on this matter. He doesn't believe humanity is hopeless and pitiful without their gods like Wyrm but he also doesn't believe that Azryth and Zalikar are raw evil like Stella. He believes the Erlithmanil play a natural, complex and important role in the overall balance of nature and life. He walks a middle path he believes will eventually lead to peace and balance. This is something he and Wylrith share, the two possessing a surprisingly healthy relationship compared to some of their cohorts.
