As a soldier in the Yonzu Military, Drusil trained rigorously. Her determination earned her a reputation as a highly competent warrior, but her striking appearance continued to attract unwelcome advances.
During her stationing in Othard, she unknowingly drank a mug spiked with ink given to her by one of her fellow soldiers looking to court her - who believed the ink he poured into the drink was a charming potion. Drusil fell nausiatingly ill and was unable to fight when Zeva Moto's rebels stormed the town.
She was taken prisoner and had ample time to reflect on her place alongside her "brothers" in arms. So when the heroes from Eucitas required some of the captives to pilot Jarl Rumdur's ship to Freeport, she was one of the first to volunteer.
