Lathander, the Morninglord

Lathander is the Human god of the Dawn and Spring, as well as renewal, birth, vitality, creativity and youth. In some cultures, he is the husband of Chauntea. As a god of new beginnings, adventurers and wanderers often beseech him to bless their journeys. Lathander teaches his followers to honor liberty and creativity, and many democratic nations honor his name. Lathander loves a good story of adventure, often accepting tithe in the form of a well-told tale. The Bringer of Dawn is a staunch defender of intelligent being’s right to forge their own destiny, and he supports those who fight against tyranny. Lathander appears to mortals as a tall Human, well-muscled and with eyes glowing with the glint of the morning Sun.
