Sehanine Moonbow, Lady of Dreams
When humans came to Endunia and saw statues of Sehanine Moonbow, they mistook her for their own goddess, Selune. While the two deities shared similarities, Sehanine was one of the Elven heroes descended from the fey. Draped in a gown made from moonbeams, Sehanine appears to mortals as an ageless elf woman. As a goddess of dreams and death, many of her petitioners are oracles, who she communicates to through dreams and visions while they sleep or meditate. Sehanine foresaw Lolth’s return and eventual betrayal but was powerless to stop the strife that befell the Elven deities. It is believed that Sehanine granted the Elves their ability to see in the dark places, as she watched over them during the tumultuous Feywild nights. Magic wielding worshipers of Sehanine are often skilled illusionists and fortune tellers, however, the knowledge she brings is often shrouded in riddles and mysteries, often leading to more questions than answers. With knowledge of past, present and future, Sehanine is often consumed by melancholy, a mood many Elves can fall into when reflecting on mortality and its inescapability. In spite of this futility, Sehanine is a fierce protector of the Elves and is known to show compassion for the downtrodden of all species.
