Gruaghlothor - God of the Ferrous Dragons

The Iron Survivor

The mighty iron wyrm Gruaghlothor is the father and god of the rare ferrous dragons. He was born from a shard of Ao when he split himself to create his children. Gruaghlothor was oroginally a god on par with his siblings until the majority of ferrous dragons were hunted down in a genocide. In ages past the chromatic tyrant Tiamat spearheaded a charge to eliminate ferrous dragons due to the threat they posed to chromatic dragons. While this campaign was ultimately unsuccessful, Tiamat was able to severly wound Gruaghlothor. Dying, he transferred as much of his power as he could into an iron greatwyrm to create a new version of himself. The new Gruaghlothor maintained the memory and most of the power of the original, but was overall weaker in comparison. This new god was not immortal, and would need to rebirth itself every few thousand years or if the current body perished. Gruaghlothor instilled a strict hiararchy among the ferrous dragons, that being:

• Tungsten 
• Nickel

Followers of Gruaghlothor are few and far between, often due to lack of knowladge of his existance in the first place. Ferrous dragons themselves are rare and knowladge of the supreme dragon even more rare. What followers do exist are always at odds with any worshipers of chromatic dragons, especially the cult of the dragon. Followers are often cold and calculated but no traditionally evil.
