Internal

What is their greatest fear?

That she will turn out like her parents and abandon their duties, they are the cause of the current problems.

What is their misbelief about the world?

That it is left to her to correct her parent’s mistakes. That she has no other purpose in the world.

What is the best thing in their life?

Like Tesha, she enjoys spending time with her family. She resisted them at first but now she cares about them deeply. She knows that they would never abandon her.

What is the worst thing in their life?

Everyone who tells her that she can’t do certain things because she is a girl. Although women are allowed to train as some things, and her own mother was a vaunted warrior, they are not allowed to train as assassins.

What do they most often look down on people for?

Narrow mindedness. Those who can’t see the value of those who are different to them.

What makes their heart feel alive?

Spending time with her family. The breathlessness that comes after a long time training and she has just been victorious. Seeing the sun set over the trees.

What makes them feel loved and who was the last person to make them feel that way?

She likes being hugged, it’s strange because many would describe her as rather prickly. Tesha was probably the last person to make her feel this way because her customary greeting for her friends is a hug.

Top three things they value in life.

Loyalty to family and community. Willingness to do whatever is necessary. Spending time with family.

External

What is their favourite book?

She doesn’t really like to read but will occasionally borrow one of Tesha’s history books.

Is there an object they can’t bear to part with? Why?

Her swords. They are true assassins blades created by Egan and they are a symbol of what she can do.

Describe a typical outfit for them from top to bottom.

Her hair is usually braided to keep it out of her face. She usually wears a top and trousers which help her move around easily. For shoes she often wears soft-soled boots so she can’t be heard coming.

What nicknames have they been called in throughout their life?

Not many really. Her favourite thing to be called is when Tesha refers to her as her sister.

What is their weapon of choice?

Physically it is her swords. More metaphorically it is passive aggression.

Describe their daily routine.

It depends, if she has been training late she will get up later if she hasn’t will get up early. She always eats breakfast with her family. Often she will go out into the forest with Tesha and Ronan to explore, when they do this they take a picnic lunch. Other times they go on their own and Aife stays in the village. In the afternoons she tends to train with Cathal and Ronan. She tends to eat dinner with her family and then they either play games or go to bed.

What is their go-to cure for a bad day?

Usually when she is having a bad day a hug from Tesha will make her feel better. She thinks that the best thing is that Tesha always seems to know when she is feeling down.

Conflict

How is the character dissatisfied with their life?

She feels like she is always being judged for what her parents did. Everyone in the village looks down on her for their mistakes.

What do they believe will bring them true happiness?

Fixing her parents' mistakes. Being the one to solve the problems that they created in the world. She thinks that maybe then the others won’t look down on her so much.

What actionable steps could they take to turn their dream into reality?

She is training to be an assassin and a mighty warrior so she can try and solve the world's problems that her parents created. She knows that she will have to leave her home and her new family to be able to do this.

How has their fear kept them from taking this action already?

She is afraid that if she goes she could just mess the world up even more. She doesn’t want to be the cause of any further conflict in this world. She doesn’t want to be like her parents.

What would it take for your character to finally make the decision to pursue their goal?

She leaves her home with Ronan and Cathal on a mission to assassinate the king [Arkin’s father]. While at the castle she meets Cordelia, Dylan and Arkin who help her to realise that there is another way for her to fix her parents' mistakes.

How does your character feel they can accomplish their goal while steering clear of their fear?

She travels with them and they help her to make decisions along the way to try and heal the world.
