The Dwarves of Andvain
The Melvarian and Tarvossian dwarves have feuds often, but typically are amicable, as long as they stay within their own territory. The Melvarians live both above and below ground, they are avid seafarers, and are drawn to jewels. The Tarvossians are deep diggers, and thirst after powerful veins of molten energy called Thunderveins. They craft these into powerful weapons and use it to power their inventions. The island is connected by thousands of miles of tunnels below the surface, naked to the invisible eye.
In the middle of the island, Andvain, are the Three Mountains, where a large majority of these mines are located. Separately both factions of dwarves work towards a common goal, to reach the lost forge of Zaprodan, the Dwarven All-Father. The two Kings respect each other as well as the AĆ©redonians, who they consider a valuable ally. While the Tarvossian Dwarves are not fond of the sea, they often send out war parties to combat the goblins in the wilds of the island to the east called Doharn.
