Calico Mountains

The peaks of the Calicoes are considered by many in the west to mark the end of civilization, a last natural border between the Evangil Kingdom and The Shadowoods.
For hundreds of years the ancient evangelites believed that the mountains was a gift from the gods, placed there to protect them, and rarely if ever crossed them. It was a long time before the first humans from Evangil made contact with the Lunarii Elves beyond, and even then the solitary elves had little interest in human affairs.
Today the mountain border are lightly patrolled, both sides trusting that the peaks themselves will slow the other enough for alarm of an invasion force can be raised in time, however unlikely a war between the nations is in the 17th century.
