Uistliŕyen (uistlirjøn)
Uistliŕyen is the language of the Siéŕians. It is divided between two interintelligible dialects: the Siéŕian and the Midarian. Here is the academic Uistliŕyen or literary Uistliŕyen.
As most of the languages within the subcontinent of Uistéŕand, Uistliŕyen is an imported language. When the Siérian people arrived they brought their language with them. The vocabulary was completly new on the peninsula, and had not been modified by any other language. Nowadays Uistliŕyen is used as the lingua franca within the empire and can be influenced by the origin of the speaker that uses it.
Writing System
It is not an alphabet as we can imagine it’s more of a classified system in which letters resemble one another according to their sound, (with the exception of “h” (what did you expect I’m a bit French after all)) like for exemple all the vowels are written with an oval or round shape (again except the lower cases of “e” and “é” that lost their oval). You can classify letters by their sound basically or write them like the Latin alphabet as you want.

Morphology
Uistliŕyen is a moderately inflected language, a word is modified to express different grammatical categories such as tense, case, voice, aspect, person, number, gender, mood, animacy, definiteness. The verbs are formed with conjugation, and one can refer to the inflection of nouns, adjectives, adverbs, pronouns, determiners, participles, prepositions and postpositions, numerals, articles etc...as declension.
We don’t know Uistliŕyen mother language as the Sierians didn’t bring any records from the lands they originated. But it was likely a declined language. Only few declensions remain today, nouns and most pronouns are inflected for number although the distinction between gender is almost lost; personal pronouns and a few other pronouns, for person, number, gender, and case; and verbs, for tense, aspect, mood, and the person and number of their subjects. Case is primarily marked using word order and prepositions, while certain verb features are marked using auxiliary verbs. Adjectives are not inflected as they don’t accord neither in gender nor in number.

Tenses
There are three tenses in Uistliŕyen: past, present and future. All articulated in different moods: infinitive, indicative, subjunctive, conditional, imperative and participle past and present.
Moods and tenses aspects are what might make wistlirien look like a complex language. But there are no exceptions and no irregularities (except (hahahahaha) for the verb “éstré”= to be which is the only irregular verb) and all the verbs are conjugated by isolating the stem of the verb and adding an ending.
Sentence Structure
Uistliŕyen is a SVO type of language, subject–verb–object (SVO) is a sentence structure where the subject comes first, the verb second, and the object third. Languages may be classified according to the dominant sequence of these elements in unmarked sentences (i.e., sentences in which an unusual word order is not used for emphasis). English is included in this group.
examples:
The cat ate a mouse : dhé khat édut na musé = dhé kat: S / édut = édér: V / na musé : O
I live in this house : Yé gui dén té domé = Yé: S / gui = guir: V / té domé: O
Adjective Order
In Uistliŕyen adjectives don't accord in gender nor in number, therefor they're usually placed before the noun which they're describing. Then they follow the same order as in English: opinion, size, age, shape, colour, origin, material, purpose.
examples:
That large, old, brown goat over there = té guŕé, uété, bŕéun képŕé thaŕi.
There are beautiful, great, round and square, white, Midarian, stone temples in this city = haŕét duén, gŕén, ŕéth oth kuoŕé, alvé, midaŕien, stén témélés dén té siulé.
