Goblinkin Wars

The Goblinkin wars began a time of upheaval in the lands of Erellion.  It was these events that have defined the state of the world for the past 1200 years.     The wars were waged for several years as goblins, hobgoblins, bugbears, trolls, giants and the like poured out of the Dragon's Nest mountains into the lands of the north. Armies composed mainly of men and dwarves from the region around Toadfen Moor and the Lake of Sorrows rose to challenge the evil armies. It was during this war that Drogar the Conquerer assumed betrayal by his brother Rhaelson the Paladin and turned from him.   It was also during this time that the Dwarves splintered.  Some decided to defend their home and closed the gates to their mighty fortresses in the Dragon's Nest Mountains, while others decided to ally with humans and the other goodly races and join in the fight on the surface against their mortal foes.    It was also during this time that the seeds of the The GodsWar were planted.  And possibly most importantly it was during this time that Eramus the Father Creator found his replacements for the old gods although it would be a few years before they were called upon to assume the mantle of deity.
