History
Eadis and Thaner met when they were children. Eadis's mother came to the ranch where Thaner lived looking for work when Eadis was an infant. They grew up with each other and when they came of age it was a forgone conclusion that they would be wed. Oldef is kind and respectful to his wife, Eadis is supportive and caring for her husband.
History
Argeth and Oldef grew up together in the area around Wayhill. Argeth left when he was young to adventure, something that Oldef did not approve of, preferring an honest days work. By the time Argeth had returned to Wayhill (some say loaded with treasures from his adventures) Oldef had already struck out on his own. Argeth contacted Oldef and found the man needing supplies and money to get his town off the ground. Argeth offered his financial assistance, knowing that money was something Oldef never really had a handle on. They became business partners of a sort, Argeth giving his money in exchange for a spot in Oldef's town where he could settle down and build a home without having to work the land. Oldef was reluctant to agree at first, not comfortable with the lack of work and wanting to pay Argeth back, but the prospect of another winter without the mill up and running got the better of Oldef so he approved the agreement. Argeth moved to @Lumberfell in 1145 with his wife. They settled there and started a family. Argeth keeps true to his word and does not work, living off he work of others in exchange for the initial capital he gave to the town. He continues to give occasional money when needed, but for the most part the town is self sufficient these days. Oldef and Argeth get along well enough to co-exist but Oldef does not like Argeth's way of living. Oldef feels that he had little choice but to make the initial agreement that brought Argeth to Lumberfell and convinces himself that he doesn't regret it. Argeth and Oldef do have different philosophies which can cause issues when decisions regarding the village need to be made but they have managed to co-exist well enough.
