City of Tears

The City of Tears is a moderately large city-state that houses a population of around 430,000 Citizens, And is overseen by a Queen and an Order of Knights that protect her. The Order is named the "Tear Guard", For the reason of protecting the city and it's civilians, As to avoid anybody shedding more tears.
The city used to be a large town that had about 50,000 people living there, However, Around two years ago a local bandit group raided the city and razed it to the ground, Killing most of the inhabitants inside, Including the previous leader of the town, Victoria II. The leaders daughter, A few people that would eventually become Tear Guard and Some of the survivors banded together to rebuild. Deciding to make it better than it once was, Renaming it "City of Tears" due to the tears that were shed that day.
In present day, The city is definitely getting on a "Biggest cities in Erethes" list sometime soon, As it is doing much better, Although it's still under construction in some districts. The City is currently ruled by their Queen of Tears; Victoria Bishop III, As well as a few contributors. Such as, Tross Lengily (As an Adviser), The Court Wizard; Raeos Secretstar, And one of the most well known members of the Tear Guard; Sir. Nathaniel Cheddar. All of which are also members of the Royal Court.
Demographics
The Demographics in the city are as equal and balanced as they can be in this day and age. There aren't any specific neighborhoods designated for each wealth class, You can find a Rich person sharing a building with somebody so poor they can barely get food everyday.
As for ethnicities and species, It is mostly human, And out of those humans are mostly Takaharan or Athraen. Second in population is an equal split between Elves, Dragonborn, Halflings and Goliaths. With the rest of the races in last place.
Government
The majority of city or court decisions are made from a civilian vote, Then a Court meeting, And finally the decision from Queen Victoria. However, Most of the decisions are made by a Democratic vote, and must be a unanimous choice, It is like this because the Queen wishes that the people have a real say.
As for taxation, about 10 percent of every purchase goes to the Royal Fund, And almost all of that goes into Military and Construction Expenses.
Defences
The entire city is surrounded by a giant Darkstone wall that goes up about 110ft, As well as Tear Guard Archers guarding the walls 24/7. As for inside, The city is constantly being patrolled by the Tear Guard And the Spring Castle has a large Darkstone wall surrounding it as well.
The city has access to a few catapults, ballistae and a large steel entrance gate in case of a siege.
Industry & Trade
Often times the main focus of the city imports are Weapons, Armor and Militaristic supplies, However there is a thriving trading community within the city that can have practically anything you want. This community also happens to host a worldwide market event where people from all of the other regions come here to set up shop for about a week.
Infrastructure
There are various farms outside of the city that provide food and crops to the city, But the majority of the infrastructure focused on the Sewer System, Windmills and cosmetics, Such as courtyards, Town Squares, Etc.
Districts
"The Gold District". The first district of the city, Found immediately after entering through the front gate. Includes The Market Square, The Sliced Onion and the restaurant Cheddars. As well as the majority of the other businesses and shops.
"The Bronze District". The second district of the city, Found by taking a path to the left-most side of the city. Includes almost all of the housing and civilian property, As well as the homes of certain important figures, Such as the Court Wizard, Raeos Secretstar.
"The Silver District". The last district of the city, Found by going towards the right and back of the city. Includes the Spring Castle, The Mercenary Guild Hall, Dragon King's Respite, Wukong's Rest And the Tear Guard Training Ground. As well as the more important buildings, Such as the Banks, Stockpiles and More.
Assets
Most of the Tear Guard are equipped with some of the finest plate and steel that can be gathered, And the city has enough weapons and armor sets to give everyone in the Tear Guard three backups at least.
The city doesn't necessarily have many "Valuables" per se, Mostly due to the valuables they do get going straight to the military and civilian quality of life funds.
Guilds and Factions
The Mercenary Guild, A small branch of the infamous guild that calls the city it's home.
The Thieves Guild, A surprisingly large group of people that steal and kill for a living, They have a base inside the sewer system of the city.
History
A small town formed at some point by an unknown individual, Actri had a long run before The Freeform Bandits destroyed the town and killed almost everyone in it.
Afterwards, The survivors banded together and founded the City of Tears a couple years ago, And it's been fairly prosperous ever since.
Points of interest
"The Moon Tree", A giant oak tree that is placed prominently in the center of the market square. It's leaves are a Bright blue/silver color mix, And are said to have healing properties, Whether that means Physical or Emotional has never been proven. It never loses it's leaves unless manually taken, And it can never die naturally.
"Tear Fountain", A large four layered fountain that stands front and center in an open area within the Bronze District. People will occasionally throw coins into the fountain hoping for good luck, However, The coins get taken by the thieves guild almost every time.
"Dragon King's Respite", A huge Inn and Tavern that is designed to be a safehaven for all types of Dragonkin, Although they allow other races to use their services, If you were to enter, It would be almost all Dragonborn and Kobolds, Including the Staff.
"Wukong's Rest", An Inn, Bar and Spa Parlor that is designed for all races that are not human. Humans are not allowed entry into the building and by extension, Are not allowed to use their services either. However, Non-Humans and Half-Breeds are allowed to use the full extent of services that Wukong's Rest offers.
Tourism
"The Spring Castle", Which is the primary residence of the Queen and her knights. Includes giant water fountains that are enchanted to never run out, Bright Silver detailing, And the occasional inner court visitation, Whenever there is an event taking place.
"Cheddars", A restaurant that is hailed by most as the best food in the city. A formerly family run establishment, It had to be rebuilt along with the rest of the city after it's destruction, It is currently run by one of the most prestigious tear guards who doubles as the owner, A few of their friends come off and on to run the business while the owner is off on knightly duties.
"The Sliced Onion" Is a hotel and the primary inn of the city, If you are coming to visit, This is the place you're gonna be sleeping at for the time being. It is a large building with 5 floors and 30 rooms on each of the floors except the first, 15 rooms on both sides of the halls. The first floor is the check-in desk as well as a lounge with bar service, There is also room service which is good by itself, But you should probably go down to Cheddars instead.
The "Temple of Hestia", A large temple structure dedicated to the Goddess Hestia. Many people go in and out every day and night to pray and thank Hestia for all that they have. There is a giant stained glass window at the front, Above the door, It depicts Hestia giving a child a warm flame.
"Market Square", A large town square where most of the citizens purchase and sell their goods, It is also where the monthly "Worldwide Market" event takes place.
Architecture
Most of the houses have a traditional German Architecture style, However, Most of the temples and castles have a very Gothic Royal look.
Geography
The city is built on top of a lush grassland, Next to a large lake and a mountain range. From the city you can see the lake of course, But there are other sights, Such as; The nearby forests, Many farms and Homes out in the grassland, And the Arcane tower of Tross Lengily, As it sits on the side of a mountain.
Climate
Mostly cool breezes and Slight winter chill in the later months, However it pours down a cold rain in a shocking amount of the days.
Natural Resources
Due to the natural abundance of forests, grassland and mountains, The city is able to procure great amounts of Wood, Wheat, Grain and Livestock from the surrounding areas and the farmlands.
