After tensions boil over, Odin declares war on the Olympians in order to gain The Amulet of Shadows that is in their possession, Causing a great many losses in the process.

Odin declares war on the Olympians after years of trying to weasel the Amulet of Shadows out of their hands. And while the military might of both Sparta and Athens are immense, They simply couldn't compare to the sheer amount of Einherjar, Asgardians and Valkyries that roamed the battlefields. Luckily, Since this was around the time that the Warforged were first created, Almost all of them had joined Olympus in their effort. Many soldiers and gods died during the various battles over the years it was active, But none more so than the Battle of the Incandescent, Which took place near the end of the war. It is known as the last battle of the war that the gods were physically a part of. The majority of the divine deaths happened during this battle, And a few before it, Including but not limited to:

• Magni, Thor's eldest son, Gutted by Thanatos' scythe.
• Thrud, Thor's only daughter, Slain on the battlefield mere moments after Magni. Skewered through the chest by Ares.
• Aegir and Ran, Gods of the sea, Both killed by Poseidon and Zeus.
• Bragi, God of Poetry and Music, Drowned by the corpse of Ran landing on him, Pinning him to the deep end of the shore.
• Forseti, God of Justice, Shot in the spine by Artemis then beaten to death by Argos.
• The wife of Thor, Sif and The goddess of darkness, Nyx, are both killed by each other during the chaos.
• Apollo, God of Music and Light, Shot and killed by a Bifrost beam sent by Heimdallr.
• Asclepius, God of Medicine and Healing, Thrown into the portal to Hel by Baldur.
• Eris, Goddess of Jealousy and Strife, Impaled into the ground by Odin's spear.
• Pan, God of the Wild, Had his head smashed in by Mjolnir.
