Astrid

Astrid is the god of life. Astrid creates vessels for souls- sculpting all living things to hold the souls created by Seese. As the creator of life as we know it, supporting life through healing is considered is a sacred art.
Astrid is a member of the second tier of the Seese Pantheon- divinities created directly by Seese. Members of this tier are complete beings, and so beyond gender. However Astrid tends to slide more toward the feminine end of what we see as the gender spectrum, and it isn't uncommon for the She/Her pronouns to be applied. Some of her euphemisms include: All Mother, (The) Sculptor, Life-giver.

Life is sacred and must be protected.

The heart of Astrid's worship in Ereza is the Temple of Life. The temple is the center for medical study on the continent. It is a place of peace and tranquility, and as such, the settlement supporting the temple has remained small. Additionally, you can find a Temple to Astrid in all major cities.

The Great Sage is the highest ranking clergy member, followed by Sage, Healer/Medicant, Verhere, and Initiate
Laypeople often refer to them all as Healers.

Progeny

Astrid has three children:

• Two daughters with Joran- Dathne & Lephanie
• A daughter with Bernice- Magic

Seese had created every being up until Astrid and Joran created the twins, Dathne and Lephanie, through their love for one another. Seese was pleased with this development and gave their children souls. Astrid was so enamored with creation, and working with her parent, that she put all of her attention into creating more beings to serve as vessels for souls. Joran guided the twins mostly on his own, but their desire to find common ground with Astrid ended up shaping the very nature of their divinity.
