Freeport

The Evestrians, formerly Evenarians, landed on the site that would become Freeport when they fled across the sea from Evenaria.
The free thinking (some might say lax) laws of the Evestrian Government on travel and commerce, owing to their founders’ views as oppressed immigrants, have led to the port city being overrun by pirates. There are some islands off the Evestrian coast that are known to be rife with them.
