Damali's Dome

One of the Divine Artisan's greatest disciples was Damali Rivera, a human from the lands near Sanguine who had perfected the means of using arches to support greater weights. As the growing Rhyliss Empire wished to develop its urban architecture, Damali became sought after for being able to build chambers which had much more open space to use than their competitors. Over time, many buildings used by Imperium officials had tall vaulted chambers designed by Damali, not to mention temples which needed to accommodate greater numbers. In order to keep up with demand, many apprentices learned the techniques and adapted their own styles derived from the 'Damali Arch'. Students of architecture agree the greatest creation of Damali was the Oriale Forum, built in Salicova to house the premier market near the ocean. A wide promenade was built under a vaulted ceiling with ample openings for light to keep everything comforting and inviting. It is considered a great loss when an earthquake wound up destroying that district of the city many generations later.

So it came to be when Damali passed, all the various students competed for the right to build in their honor. The winner was a young half-elf named Temari Adralas, who designed a grand dome far beyond anything Damali had created in size. Magic was used to reinforce the stone and foundation, while the design itself was able to keep everything stable. After the construction was completed, the Order of Stones stepped in to adopt it as their temple and dedicated it to Bartholomew, He Who Builds. During the dedication of the dome, Damali was risen to be Saint Damali Rivera, Artisan of Keystones. To this day, Damali's Dome draws people to the great city of Eva Oceana.
