Jorunn Lighthouse

The Jorunn Lighthouse is located in the Headlands region of The Northern Reaches.

Features

The lighthouse stands at the tip of the eastern peninsula of the Headlands, east of Jorunnstead, and marks the northern point of the opening of the Tålesend, standing at the point where the strait meets the Misty Bay and the Great Sea. It is one of two lighthouses marking the Tålesund, the other being the Armskr Lighthouse at the western end of the strait. The southern end of Shadowscar Isle can be seen from the top of the lighthouse.
The lighthouse is named after Jorunn Karlsen, whose family founded the village of Jorunnstead. The descendants of the family still run the village and still tend to the lighthouse, although other members of the settlement help with the task.
