Misty Bay
The Misty Bay is a the northernmost part of the Great Sea and is surrounded by The Northern Reaches to the west and the Blightlands to the east.
While much of the ecosystem of the Great Sea exists in the bay as well, the corruption of the adjacent Blightlands has seeped into the bay. Waterborne monstrosities and aberrations have been sighted in the central and northern areas of the bay, and even the natural species of marine life found in the waters can become sickened and-or corrupted. Strange stories of schools of bony undead fish, wicked decaying sharks, and other unusual marine life prowling beneath the dark waters regularly make the rounds among Reachmen at taverns and inns, and some even claim they can feel a malevolant presence with them when on the water. Even those who dismiss the stories as outlandish still stay close to shore when on the water, not daring to chance a trip into the open waters of the bay.

The southern bifurcated branch of the River Glåma feeds into the bay from the northwest, and the mouth of Tålesund is found just to the southwest of the opening of the bay. At the far north of the bay lies the Shadowed Cove. Roughly in the center of the bay, the ominous Shadowscar Isle looms, the first layer of curruption encountered as one travels east from The Headlands. While much of the ecosystem of the Great Sea exists in the bay as well, the corruption of the adjacent Blightlands has seeped into the bay.
