Session 2 Report

General Summary

The party met with Eric Thorne after breakfast to receive their briefing on the mission. They were told that there had been a lot of disappearances over the past year on the road between Fallaval and Eskam. What brought this to their attention was a courier recently went missing carrying correspondence from the Lord of Fallavar to the Lord of Synlor. This brought it to their attention, then they found multiple instances over the past year. Looking a little deeper they found a small village, named Dargon, in the area of the disappearances, around 4 months ago the village missed its monthly report, the next month they received one saying the captain, Captain Farron, had fallen ill, and acting Captain Parse was in charge. Thorne said that something about the reports have seemed off to him, he asks you to inspect the village and to find out if there is anything going on. He promised you 100g each if you identify the issue, and upwards of 200g if you are able to solve it, depending on what happened.
The party gathered supplies, hired a couple horses and a cart, Buns went in search of a carrot supplier, while Nyx found a herbalist store. The travel took 10 days until you reached the turn-off from the main road towards, from that point the party attempted to quietly travel down the path. They encountered nothing until finally spotting the village over the crest of a hill. The party noticed an unusually large guard prison in the village, and not the usual small village bustle.
