For the Greater Good Report

General Summary

Official Communique Regarding Archival of Restricted Artifacts at Cintronel Museum Letter from last session ^   Marin departs for Kellador to continue investigating cult activity there.   The party keeps their appointment with Elizabeth Hargrove   Calvin notes where she strikes the founding stone in the architecture exhibit. This was the first stone from the nearby quarry where most of the stone that built the old city came from. Was not used in a building.   Calvin notes that House Vorona is credited with several advancements in ship building specific to Naval ships. Calvin sees the seal of House Vorona and memorizes it. He notes that two of the documents do not seem to be authentic. Calvin sees the Crown’s seal and memorizes it.   Elizabeth notes that she monitors the artifacts in the museum to see if they are decaying too fast and need magical protection. Calvin focuses on building rapport with Elizabeth throughout this exercise. Elizabeth walks to the prewar exhibit. She lingers at an exhibit on old Aendrim’s courthouse. She mentions Magistrate Sevonn, famous for writing the legal charters which form the foundation for Aendrim’s legal system to this day. She notes that citizens could not lie in his court- he always knew who was guilty. Elizabeth asks them if it is important to them to act for the greater good, even if it harms them. They say yes. She thanks them for their honesty.   Elizabeth notes that Aendrim is the only kingdom with laws designed to protect the common people. Includes innocence until proven guilty and trial by peers. Kiril makes note of the dress, regalia, rank, and insignia of the Church and the Crown.   She greets a Mr. Sherry, the Occult Artifacts Specialist.   Elizabeth takes them back downstairs to the restricted items room. Elizabeth notices Calvin trying to watch her open the lock to the restricted room. Elizabeth reveals that she has one of the eyes of Tharizdun. She shows a few other rubies that are similar size and brilliance. She dripped a water drop from her container onto the eye. This caused the players’ consciousness to be transferred to the abyss for 5-7 seconds. Elizabeth suggests looking into pre-war history at the Library, looking into who may collect valuable gems or looking for history of how and where the gems were originally hidden. Calvin wants to figure out how to get in touch with the Thieves’ Guild in Aendrim. He would like to look into legitimate businesses who have some sort of dealings with smugglers or thieves, particularly those who sell stolen or contraband goods to collectors on behalf of the thieves or smugglers. (Downtime activities) Kiril wants to speak more with Elizabeth about her practical means of magical identification. He wants to learn detect magic (1st level spell).
