Aendrim
Overview
Aendrim is a human-founded city-state ruled by King Richard the XII. The city was burnt to the ground during the war and subsequently rebuilt, making it the most modern on the continent. Aendrim does not have immediate access to raw natural resources. The economy is centered on tertiary services and advanced manufacturing using materials imported from abroad. Aendrim's port is the largest on the continent and is protected by their navy which works to protect cargo ships bound to and from Aendrim wherever they go. Aendrim's patron saint is Waukeen, the goddess of commerce and trade. Aendrim is managed by the Church, the Military, and Civil Servants jointly.Government Details
Aendrim is ruled by King Richard, the 12th of his name. He rules with the assistance of his advisors, each of whom advise Richard and manage the details of a particular area of government. Aendrim enjoys healthy political relationships with each other Kingdom in the realm whose economies depend on trade with Aendrim.Military
Aendrim’s military is ever-present in the Kingdom. Their armor is clearly functional in nature, burnished iron with the red crest of Aendrim emblazoned on chest, shoulders, and shield. Aendrim’s infantry are known for their fearsome broadswords which can strike nearly any foe down with a single strike. Aendrim’s navy is by far the most powerful in the realm, patrolling sea shipping routes as far East as Trathon. Their ships are fearsome to behold in harbor or at the high seas, their sails emblazoned with massive Aendrim sigils. No opponent has ever bested an Aendrim warship in combat, and Aendrim’s sea trading routes are all the safer for it. Due to the immense value of the goods stuffed within Aendrim’s shops and warehouses, there is no local police force. Instead, Aendrim’s military infantry patrol the streets and snuff out crime quickly. In cases of serious trouble, Aendrim relies on King Richard’s Dragons, an elite group of Knights renowned for their ability to fight and win on land and on sea. Aendrin Dragons are fierce and immediately recognized by their deep red armor and golden Aendrim sigils.Religion
Aendrim’s patron God is Waukeen, the Goddess of Commerce and Trade. An important and influential force, no business in Aendrim can prosper without its blessing. Aendrim’s church is far less warlike than their counterparts in Ironheim and Kellador. Their paladins wear no armor, preferring a uniform of gold-trimmed burgundy robes. They work throughout the city to enforce Waukeen’s will. They are known for keeping the city’s merchants in-line, pursuing and prosecuting any merchants who operate unethically or outside of city governance. Caldric, the Bishop, is the head of the church.Noteworthy Locations
