Sharp Stake Watch

Sharp Stake Watch is a small military outpost on the eastern edge of The Desolate Basin. Made up of a multi-national army, this outpost seeks to stop the advance of the forsaken into the east of Estellia.

Demographics

Split between the different nations who have donated soldiers to work here. Split between: Dwarves, Tabaxi, Goblins, Centaurs, Halflings, Gnomes.

Government

Rather than each group of soldiers having their own commander, there is one commander that was agreed upon by the different nations - done through a vote. Due to the small number of troops, this is the only commanding officer.

Defences

The camp is known as Sharp Stake Watch due to it's large, wooden stake, wall. Beyond this there is only two solid buildings here, both built of wood. The defences are lacking, but the march of Forsaken is light enough that they can be dealt with by the archers on watch.

Infrastructure

The sleeping quarters in this camp are not very adequate, split between tents and the newly constructed barracks which do not house enough beds for all the soldiers. Outside of this there is not much here beyond a well, the soldiers relying on supply deliveries for luxuries and food.

History

In the couple of years following the collapse of the empire, it became apparent that the forsaken were marching upon lands that had not been cursed. This was a concern for all nations in the east, not just the one who had to deal with the brunt of it. So it was decided between the group of eastern nations that were most friendly with eachother: The Auric Amity, Kaz Nardoth, The Grove, and Tóliah - that they would each supply a number of troops to guard the valley that gave direct access to The Desolate Basin and stop the advance of Forsaken.
