The Feywild

The Feywild is a colossal Jungle/Forest dimensional plane, found deep in the Astral Sea. The plane is saturated with magic, which has created one of the most fantastical and dangerous locations in the Universe. It is also where fey creatures originated from and where the Archfey, Vitalia's first sapien like species, were born and lived. The Feywild has been rooted in deep mystery ever since it was re-discovered after the Great Convergence. Specifically, the extinction of the Archfey species has been especially confusing, as many considered Archfey to be the greatest of all sapien species in the Universe. Only one still exists, a man who simply calls himself Archfey, who now wanders and rules over the ruins of his people's civilisation.

Geography

The Feywild is a colossal jungle full of huge, magic saturated, plants which allow them to grow to multiple times their original size. The Jungle is split into three sections: The canopy: At the top of the jungle, in the branches of the trees. Traversing here always comes with the threat of falling to the jungle floor. The Floor: The ground, where most plants and animals are found. This is also where the civilisation of the Archfey built their cities, which now lay in ruins. The Tangled Depths: The roots of the jungle, deep in the cracks and caves of the jungle. This is the most dangerous part of the jungle, with deadly animals and confusing mazes of tunnels.

Natural Resources

All of the plants here are valuable due to their high concentration of magic. It makes potions that use those components even more effective.

History

The Feywild was created by Vitalia to test her powers of creating ecosystems and creatures. Due to her inexperience, much more magic flowed through the land than she intended. This led to her creations becoming much more powerful, and much larger, than she initially expected. When the rest of the universe had been finished, her final test was to create sentient/sapien life. She once again returned to the Feywild as a place where she could experiment. This is where the Archfey were born, and all other Fey creatures after them. The Archfey were free to rule this world, with immense magical power and immortal life spans. They built a great civilisation and used their magical prowess to explore the universe, those who settled on Estellia eventually gave way to the Elf. This society came to end however, some time after the closing of the Divine Gates. Nobody knows what happened, but only one Archfey survived. This Archfey does not talk about what happened, and only refers to himself as Archfey. Today the Feywild is difficult to get to, as one needs to teleport there with magic. But sometimes, people who find themselves lost in the woods of Estellia will find themselves transported to the Feywild, where they might never find their way back home.
