Personal history
Vitalia was the first god to be created by Truth at the near beginning of the Universe. She was created to be the mother of all life in the universe, gifted with the ability to create vast numbers of different animals and plants. At the same time, from her shadow her brother was created. This shadow became Lord Death. The two siblings worked together to create the flow of life and death, before Vitalia began to populate the universe with plants and animals.
Eventually, when she deemed the time was right, she began to introduce the sapiens to the world. These species were granted great knowledge, with the potential to harness magic and develop civilisations. The first species to be created by Vitalia were the Arch-Fey, who were granted a home in the Feywild from where they may explore the Universe with their power to jump across space.
The Arch-fey were an experement for Vitalia and, feeling sufficiently prepared now, she turned to Estellia and began to populate the world one region at a time with new species. Not every intelligent species was created by Vitalia, but over the course of many years she did create the vast majority of them. Others were created by a variety of greater gods, either through their magic or through more traditional means.
She eventually became the leader of half of the greater gods, the ones who shared her vision for the world the closest, and called this group the Court of Life. This was infact an agreement between both her and Death to help ease tensions in the group.
Towards the end of the first age, as The Crimson Betrayer and his lieutenants waged their world on Estellia, Vitalia fell into a deep depression. She agreed that she could not intervene in any war, even if the invaders did so in the name of her sibling. But even so she wept as she watched her creations suffer and the world she had built burn.
After the death of Truth and the Betrayer, she saw the broken world that had been left. She and her Brother, Lord Death, agreed that it was better for the world that the Gods locked themselves away in the heavens and hells, to avoid any of them going rogue like the Betrayer had done.
