Ylrannor
Ylrannor is a forest city at the centre of Coed Felenrhyd forest. It acts as the capital and main settlement for the Kingdom of Ylrannor.
A city built amongst the giant trees of the forest, with beautifully constructed palaces and mansions between them.
Demographics
Almost entirely elves, with most living at the same wealth class.
Government
Governed by the Queen's Council, who control all aspects of the cities construction and legislature.
Defences
Rather than explicit defences like walls, there are instead a network of scout towers throughout the forest which act as a way to attack and disorientate enemies. In a last ditch effort, the city features a magical forcefield that the Queen herself can cast, though this has not been used in many centuries.
Infrastructure
The city has all the conveniences of any other capital, but without the expansive trade links. A surprising feature is the extensive catacombs beneath the city where those who perished in the great convergence were laid to rest for good.
History
The city was originally the home of the Arakocra of the Svanur Commonwealth, but when the Elves pushed them out of the forest the elves began to change the city to fit their own needs.
Over the centuries they built up the city into what it is today. When Margot rose to prominence, the elves agreed to submit to him after being overpowered by his army. However the emperor took a lighter stance on the elves, not taxing them as much, in exchange for their best architects working on his cities.
Today the city is free once more, but faces renewed friction with the Svanur who want to finally take back their ancestral land.
