Half-Orc

Half-Orcs are the offspring of an orc and a human, though it is theorized that an elf-orc or a dwarf-orc could come to be. If any have been created, they have been quickly killed by their orcish parent and not lived to see childhood.
  • +1 Strength, –1 Intelligence, –1 Charisma. A half-orc’s starting Intelligence score is always at least 3. If this adjustment would lower the character’s score to 1 or 2, his score is nevertheless 3.
  • Medium: As Medium creatures, half-orcs have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
  • Half-orc base land speed is 30 feet.
  • Darkvision: Half-orcs (and orcs) can see in the dark up to 60 feet. Darkvision is black and white only, but it is otherwise like normal sight, and half-orcs can function just fine with no light at all.
  • Orc Blood: For all effects related to species, a half-orc is considered an orc.
  • Automatic Languages: Common and Orc. Bonus Languages: Draconic, Giant, Gnoll, Goblin, and Abyssal.

Orc Blood

Orc blood can help a half-orc in two different ways. First, if the half-orc character has the ability to Rage, the rage lasts for an extra 2 rounds. This bonus stacks with feats that modify the rage range.

Second, once a day, the half-orc can focus their orcish heritage into their strength. Combine their constitution modifier with their strength modifier to a strength check, or 1 attack.

Basic Information

Biological Traits

  • Mountain Half-Orc

When it comes to size and strength, there is very little difference between a Mountain Orc and an Ogre. Some of that size and strength gets passed on to the half-mountain orc. Mountain Half-Orcs are not very common, but you would be most likely to find one in the kingdom of Handred. They usually are causing havoc for the mountain dwarves there.

    • +3 Strength
    • Natural AC +2
  • Red Half-Orc

Red Orcs and their half-orc kin are found across Radina and Gypsie. The Red Orc is the least strong of the different orc species.

    • +1 Strength, -1 Intelligence, -1 Charisma
  • Silverback Half-Orc

Silverback Orcs are widespread across the continent of Irwis, home of Holding and Wereskalot. The Silverback Orc is more intelligent than the average Orc. This could be why there are more Silverback Half-Orcs than any of the other half-orc species, they don’t kill simply because something is different.

    • +2 Strength, +1 Intelligence
    • Common Weapon Proficiency
    • Natural AC +2
  • Wild Half-Orc

A Wild Half-Orc can be found in nearly any kingdom. They tend to stay away from civilization, much like their Wild Orc relatives. The wild half-orc gains the first rank of Rage for 0 APPL. They are also proficient with simple weapons

    • +2 Strength, -1 Intelligence, -2 Charisma
    • Wild half-orcs receive the Rage at first level, but need to spend APPL to advance its rank at later levels.
    • Require spending 1 APPL to read a language they know regardless of intelligence number.
