House Thunderscale

House Thunderscale is a relatively new Lesser Noble House in The Dragonlands, having been established less than 200 years ago. Unlike many houses, which focus on martial prowess or magical expertise, House Thunderscale has carved its unique niche by mastering the art of meteorology and storm prediction. Their extensive knowledge of weather patterns and atmospheric phenomena has earned them a reputation as advisors to farmers, traders, and city planners, especially in Djerad, the trade centre of The Dragonlands. This expertise has given them influence far beyond their military or magical standing.

Culture

House Thunderscale’s culture revolves around observation, study, and interpretation of natural phenomena. Members of the house are often seen training their young in meteorology, environmental sciences, and astronomy, with a firm belief that understanding the skies can lead to prosperity. They are also keen on gathering lore and wisdom from different regions to expand their knowledge base. Tradition, patience, and foresight are highly valued in the house, with decision-making often relying on careful calculation.

Public Agenda

House Thunderscale’s primary goal is to become the foremost authority on weather and environmental prediction across The Dragonlands. They aim to expand their services by establishing partnerships with farmers, merchants, and even city planners in other cities, offering their storm-prediction expertise in exchange for political leverage and financial backing.

His accurate predictions saved countless lives and led to his rise in prominence, establishing House Thunderscale as a respected family. Since then, the house has continued to refine its methods and expand its influence, focusing on meteorology and atmospheric sciences.   Although younger than many houses, House Thunderscale’s unique expertise has made them indispensable, and they have played a crucial role in the economic stability of Djerad.
