Veldon Dewherd is a nobleman who dedicated his life to the service of the angels who rule over the city, those who disrespect the faith, break the law, or directly harm house Dewherd in any way face the wrath of this swordsman. His blade was won in the fourth annual contest of blades from the previous champion in single combat in front of the entire city. This great victory brought him honor and he was even set up to be the heir of the house until his father tragically died in a hunting accident and rumors of foul play left Veldon's reputation in tatters. He was able to save his name by swearing an oath to his brother to become the head of the family instead of him and he would spend his life guarding the family instead of running it.
