Candle Drawing
Candle drawing is alongside candle rolling the oldest candle-making method that is used especially in more rural regions since the faster candle-making method candle casting was invented. To use this method a wooden wick holder that either holds a single candle wick or multiple of them as well as a bendable candle wick made from plant fiber or textile is mandatory.
Manufacturing
- Attach a candle wick to a wooden wick holder.
- Melt a block of wax.
- Immerse the wick in the wax and hang it from a cooling rack until it is completely cooled down.
- Follow the next four steps in a steady rhythm until the candle has reached the desired thickness.
- Immerse the wick in the wax.
- Pull the wick quickly out of the wax.
- Drain the access wax into the melting container.
- Let the candle cool down shortly.
- After the candle reaches the desired thickness: Hang the candle from the cooling rack and let it cool completely.
- Detach the wooden wick holder and trim the wick to the right length.

This is a common candle-making method that is not only used by chandlers but also in private households.
