Eternal Tree

The eternal tree is a naturally grown "building" of great significance to the wood elves of Etheriel. There are multiple eternal trees distributed across the woods of Etheriel.   Eternal trees contain in general the thane office, living space for the current and previous treethane as well as some servants, the sprouted hall in which official events like the Ritual of Growing or the Festival of Growing take place, a kind of conference room for political meetings, a reception and waiting room for people that want an audience.

Purpose / Function

The eternal tree is the place where the treethane reigns and lives. It is the central contact point for any legal difficulties that a wood elf might have and a place for mediation between wood elves and other sapient species.

Design

The rooms are entirely formed from wood and feature natural wood tones, usually featuring round or oval shapes with medium to high ceilings. The size of the rooms varies depending on their purpose.

Entries

The tree has one big front entry, which is the only way to enter the tree on ground level. It has multiple archways on the upper floors leading to walkways around the tree trunk. The walkways are the only way to reach the upper floors.

Architecture

It is a naturally grown tree with a big dome-shaped tree crown and multiple naturally formed stories and rooms. The walls and the floor is usually kept as is and have a brown, sometimes greenish color. The naturally formed rooms glow in a soft golden tone, making any additional lights unnecessary.
