Whisperfall Forest

The Whisperfall Forest is an enormous deciduous forest, primarily consisting of various oak trees. A river runs through it, forming small waterfalls in multiple sections where terrain-level steps are present. The ever-present whispering nature of the waterfalls has given the area its name.
The river leads through a big forest glade in the eastern section of the forest. The forest glade is a refuge called Whisperfall Sanctuary that is inhabited by the Nature Warden Nael.

Geography

The area alternates between straight surfaces, small but steep terrain-level steps, and gentle hills intersected by streams and smaller rivers. There are small, occasionally also relatively large, forest clearings present throughout the forest.

Ecosystem

The ground is, in most areas, densely covered with moss, bushes, and shrubs intermixed with lighter vegetated areas with flowers, grass, and herbs, primarily around the forest clearings. There are a large variety of deciduous trees with heights ranging from 20 to 30 meters in their full-grown stage, but the forest mainly consists of various types of oak. Bushes, shrubs, and some trees feature edible seeds and fruits like berries or nuts.
The forest is inhabited by a large variety of tiny, small, medium, and large animals that are either loners, living as a family or within small groups, clans, or packs. Additionally, there are a few wood elf clans around the eternal tree in the center of the Whisperfall Forest and on or around the forest clearings.
