Invasion of Prussen Darkoak

Era beginning/end

The great Dwarven horde of Prussen Darkoak invades Evantian, is stopped from passing through the Sudeten Mountains by the Avignon-Dithmarburg Union in the Battle of Dwindale valley. Survivors of the battle from the horde settle in modern Prussen.

Prussen Darkoak lead a large number of Dwarfs (who were not unknown to Evantian at the time but not as common as now) into Evantian, when they were pushed out of their ancestoral lands far beyond the Steppes of Khaz. The Regalian Alps forced his people north, towards the Nordtal Coast and what is today Prussen. Darkoak overwhelmed the Sudetens and Tathian hills and the nearby areas, bringing him to the attention of those in Dithmarburg, Avignon and to a lesser level Telfalas.

The forces of the many lords of Avignon along with their Queen united with the numerous Dithmarian states to form the Avignon-Dithmarburg Union, co-led by Karl Gustavus Welf and Queen Aliénor D'Anjon to tackle the Prussen force. The forces assembled at Dwindale valley in the 15th Altone of 750, and prepared for Darkoak's people to move further into the Dithmarburg Plateau.

After the battle, the Dwarven forces couldn't move into Dithmarburg but the Union's forces were too weakened to push back, effectively making the situation into a stalemate. This stalemate would be ended with the Peace of 751 on 3rd Sun of the 2nd Altone, creating a divide in Evantian that lasts to today.
