Bugit beastman (bug-it)

The Bugits are creatures of Jurkirud. These small (approx. 80-120 cm tall) humanoids have animal features similar to the Segaii. Most often, they possess some of the external characteristics of rabbits, rats, frogs or similar (tiny) creatures. Greedy and jealous characters, their tribes regularly go to war with each other and like to loot the possessions of the "big ones". Clashes within the tribe are also common, sometimes a hunting party separates from the tribe, that raising too many cubs; it is also not uncommon for the tribe to split into four or more groups after the fall of a more charismatic or powerful leader.
The second person in the tribe is often the shaman, but not all tribes have a shaman. He or she is the smartest Bugit in the group, able to make the community believe that they are speaking with Jurkirud or straight with Vangrakath during the loud and spectacular ceremony. (The Bugits deeply respect and fear both gods.)
They are violent in groups, but alone they are only interested in they survival. Generally, they are not particularly smart, the smarter individuals easily find themselves in leadership - or even ostracized - roles. It happens that an evil man, a Segai or other strong and intelligent humanoid tries to use the considerable force of a Bugit tribe to his own advantage.
Bugits have proliferated throughout Evera territory, one or two communities can be found on almost every piece of land.

Author's Notes

The name "Bugit" is coming from a lovely ethnicity name generator (Fantasy Name Generators), but I love the idea of the small, vermin-like humanoids refer themselves as "bugs".
