The Eclipsed Forests
The Area known as the Lockemoon Federation's land mostly consists of denser forest with large cut paths of gravel throughout from lumberjacks cutting areas down. It's name derives from the sheer thickness of the foliage on the trees within the forest, some areas were almost like night before Wesson Lumber started operation. The lumber company initially cut with reckless abandon, but now provides sustainable forestry and constantly replants trees as they go to maintain the forests that keep them in business.
Ecosystem
Local prey animals Include: Black boar, Skyhorn Deer grey squirrels, small insects, Blackfoot jackrabbits, Sidewind Sparrows, and other usual suspects for fauna. mostly unremarkable with only a few rare sights, there is word of a unicorn taking up home within the southern forests.
The local predators consists of mostly the usual suspects; Bears, tinderflare snails, Ironjack eagles, Moonsigik Spiders, and occasionally kobolds depending on the location. However, there are tales of a super predator on the prowl somewhere within the forests hidden deep in the darkness that has allegedly been the source of many disappearances. Descriptions say that it could be some form of super powerful dire wolf or something similar.
