Talia Erro

Champion of the Raven Queen

Talia was nineteen years old when she died.   One of the few human children in a society of aarakocra, she grew up dreaming of sprouting wings and soaring through the sky with her neighbors and friends. Her mother, Pila, did everything in her power to give her a good life, yet still her heart yearned for flight. So, at nineteen, she built herself a pair of wings made from wood and scraps of cloth, then flung herself off a cliff.   It was, in retrospect, a terrible plan. The contraption failed immediately, leaving her with no recourse except to scream as she plummeted to her death. There was no salvation, no sudden twist. One moment she was alive, and the next she was not.   Then she woke up.

Adventure in Eiselcross

The Raven Queen claimed Talia as her servant on the day she saved her life, providing little direction except a place to go and the name of her guide: Agatha in Eiselcross. Leaving her homeland behind, Talia trekked to the northernmost region of the island Foren, a territory known as Mutalos, where she discovered one of the first temples to the Raven Queen.   The temple was guarded by Agatha, a metal-plated humanoid woman held together by divine light, who guided Talia through her first communion with their goddess through the veil of the Divine Gate. The Raven Queen asked Talia to swear an oath of vengeance on her behalf, after which she appointed the young paladin her champion.

A Life of Adventure

Before she set out for the temple, Talia was recruited by Elro Aldataur to help save Palebank Village from a terrible arcane disease known as frigid woe, which transformed living beings into ice sculptures. The team he recruited eventually became the adventuring party known as Three Idiots and a Brain Cell.

Relationships

Pila Erro: Talia's mother, Pila, was a kind woman who always encouraged her in her curiosity and her exploration of the Cyrios Mountains around their home.   Megara "Meg" Schröder: Spunky, sarcastic, and delightfully red-headed, Meg arrived in Vol'antim fleeing religious persecution five years before Talia's misadventure with the wings. She lived with Talia and Pila for four years, then moved into her own place within the mountain. She served as an apprentice to the town blacksmith, a no-nonsense halfling woman named Light.
