The True Way

The True Way is a religion but it could also be classified as a social structure. The religion brings in several aspects of the traditional clan beliefs such as the belief in the "Mother Creator" and mixes them with a strong belief in trade and commerce. It merges the belief that the creator brought the Liptic People people into the world to conduct trade and make a profit from business to the betterment of the clan.
There are several minor deities or minor gods but all are subject to the Mother Creator overriding dominance.

Structure

There are five major temples in Sandtown which is the religious centre for the True Way Religious Organisation. Each has a Leader, who holds the title "Holder of the books", but is addressed as "The Divine Leader". The oldest and the most historical temple is the "Temple of the Liptic", established in 14221, and whoever leads this temple is considered the leader of the "True Way". their title is Shareef Of the Desert, Holder of the Books. The leader can be either of either sex. Each temple organisation chooses its own Divine Leader, however, the doctrine is usually set by the Temple of the Liptic. There are other temples scattered in the others settlements of the Karnak Desert and surrounding areas.

Mythology & Lore

The overall mythology for the religion is that people who "look after" and "make money" for the clan are blessed by the "Mother Creator". 
You can look after the clan in 5 basic ways. 

1. Fighting and providing security
2. Breeding livestock
3. Gathering food
4. Homemaking and cooking
5. Sourcing water

You can Make Money for the clan in 3 basic ways.

1. Trading Goods
2. Selling livestock
3. Marriage Profit

Divine Origins

The religion has its ancestry with the nomadic clans of the Karnak Desert, dating back maybe 4,000 years. 
It became modernised by the teachings of Profit Mort Fazzee who elevated the making of money by trade to a more important status.

Cosmological Views

The "Mother Creator" carried two baskets. One of sand and one of water. The clans were given a choice to choose to live in the water or on the sand. Some clans chose the water and became the fish of the sea. Other clans chose the sand and now must carry on living upon it to keep in the good grace of the Mother Creator.

Worship

The temples of the true way are open any time of the day or night but it is expected that each member of the Liptic People would visit a temple at least once a month.
