Balthazar

Balthazar, the precocious teenage apprentice of the venerable Wizard Trevelyan, cuts a figure that wavers between confidence and overcompensation. His demeanor exudes an air of arrogance that belies his youthful countenance. Clad in ostentatious, mismatched robes that proclaim his desire for attention, Balthazar aspires to command the same awe as his mentor.   Driven by an insatiable hunger for recognition, Balthazar constantly seeks opportunities to showcase his supposed mastery of the arcane arts. Whether exaggerating tales of his own magical exploits or boasting about theoretical spells he claims to have mastered, he navigates the world with the bravado of a seasoned sorcerer.   Within the confines of Trevelyan's tower, Balthazar's overconfidence occasionally earns him stern reprimands from his mentor, who sees through the façade. Despite the clash of egos, Trevelyan recognizes the potential within his impetuous apprentice and strives to instill discipline and humility. Balthazar, however, remains steadfast in his pursuit of magical glory, an ambitious but misguided youth yearning to make his mark on the world.   Balthazar is not the only apprentice of Trevelyan. He serves as second to Erasmus of Eaton who has studied under their master for many years. Balthazar and Erasmus are known to have a somewhat strained relationship in which neither party is fond of the other.
"I deign to grace you with my presence, for your feeble minds may yet benefit from my brilliance."
