Gaelina Highsong

Gaelina Highsong is an elven warrior, leader of the Quivering Forest’s Woodguard and Speaker for the Circle of Leafholm. A veteran of multiple wars over her centuries long existence, her fighting skills are considered unmatched amongst elves of the Moonsea whilst also a skilled ranger & tracker with an innate spell casting talent. Wielding “Leaf Whisperer”, a magical glaive carved from the remains of a demonic tree capable of distorting space & time around it, she is a brilliant tactical mind & leader, having survived against uncounted odds.
Her reputation precedes her as one of the greatest warrior generals in the region, if not beyond and many wonder why she has chosen voluntary exile to the desolate Northern Moonsea. However, she is content with her current modest lifestyle and is an ardent defender of her adopted home in the Quivering Forest , its people and magic. Under her leadership she developed the Woodguard into a small but flexible fighting force and works to maintain the tentative alliance between the Forest’s various powers, not always successfully. Though her life style is martial & that of a soldier, she has a keen love of spoken word performances and is known to enjoy henna & often self-experiments with magic infused tattoos.

History with the Party

• Helped the party defeat rampaging displacer beasts after driving her glaive, Leafwhisperer, into the ground and killing the remaining beasts
• At Leafholm's Circle, Gaelina & the Woodgaurd eventually sided with the party after being swayed by their arguments that they would resolve the crisis between Phlan & the Forest
• As the party left Leafholm enroute to the Sacred Grove, Gaelina & Buhrell Caah asked that the party surrender the Dragon's tooth. They refused.

Personal history

Born in Myth Drannor, she was raised a warrior and spent her youth wandering the Forest’s pathways on missions and quests, finding herself and honing her art. When the Night of the Black Stars came and dragged the Elven Court & Cormanthyr into a intra-plane war, she fought on the front lines and was witness and survivor to some of the major battles of the war, including the sieges of Yajvil & Pqau’all and was one of the few to escape the Fall of Mihalrial. As the war continued to consume the Elven Court, she rose to prominence in her war band for bravery, tactical cunning and unparalleled fighting ability.
When the demon blight Scarath’al broke through the veil into the Quivering Forest , she led a routine of elven warriors to the Forest to track and destroy the creature and its spawn. After a brutal campaign, it was she who finally plunged her glaive into the beast’s exposed heart at the Hallow's End, finally destroying it and its psychically linked spawn. From it’s remains, she had a glaive carved from it’s magically infused bark which she came to name “Leaf whisperer”. After helping secure the Forest from further incursion, her & many of her surviving kin decided to stay in the Quivering Forest, joining and helping rebuild the much depleted Woodguard. She has since fought to defend the Forest from threats from both and without, with many more victories to her song.
