Acolytes of the White Tower (Background)

You are or were involved as a member of the Order of the White Tower. You most likely came from a war-torn land that was affected badly by the century war. The self-reliant teachings appealed to you, or maybe they were your only option to stave off starvation. However you came to it, you found peace and joy working with your hands and bettering the community.   The skills taught to you in your darkest hour, have echoed in your mind since. You now strive to share this knowledge with others as you travel, maybe someday you could even run a White Tower of your own.   (d8) Personality Traits:
  1. I idolize a particular hero of the Order of the White Tower, a local leader or maybe even Delondra Anu herself. and constantly refer to that person's deeds and example.
  2. Nothing can shake my optimistic attitude.
  3. I hide scraps of food and trinkets away in my pockets.
  4. Thinking is for other people. I prefer action.
  5. I'm rude to people who lack my commitment to hard work and fair play.
  6. I work hard so that I can play hard when the work is done.
  7. I feel tremendous empathy for all who suffer.
  8. I place no stock in wealthy or well-mannered folk. Money and manners won't save you from a pillaging army.

  1. I put too much trust in those who wield power within the Order of the White Tower's hierarchy.
  2. I hate to admit it and will hate myself for it, but I'll run and preserve my own hide if the going gets tough
  3. No one must ever learn that I once stole money from the Order of the White Tower coffers.
  4. I am dogmatic in my thoughts and philosophy.
  5. I overlook obvious solutions in favor of complicated ones.
  6. I follow orders, even if I think they're wrong
  7. My hatred of my enemies is blind and unreasoning.
  8. It's not stealing if I need it more than someone else.

Self Reliant Cog in the Machine The war took almost everything from you. The White Tower, however, has given you the tools to survive in this world. As a member, you can always help out other White Towers in your travels. They will feed you and allow you a place to sleep; as there is always work that needs doing and your good with your hands. In exchange for a little sweat equity, you can maintain a Modest lifestyle aiding and teaching for a local White Tower between adventures.   While the Order of the White Tower focuses on self-reliance, they understand sometimes things are outside the abilities of there members. Checking in with the local White Tower could lead to jobs helping members with problems they may not be able to resolve for themselves.   Suggested characteristics:
Hardworking and community-minded individuals tend to find there way into the Order of the White Tower.
