Order of the White Tower Compound
While all the compounds of the Order of the White Tower are different, they all share an Iconic White Tower. This is a view of a typical compound you can find in the southern Doran area.
Architecture
The main tower stands 105 feet tall, with a 20-foot by 20-foot base. While it gives a commanding view of the area around it, its purpose is to be a beacon to the community of self-reliance and rebuilding after the war. The towers are always made from white limestone and are reported to go up very quickly.
Around the tower, several buildings are normally erected.
- The Tower - Beacon of Self Reliance, also used for storage and supplies.
- Gardens - A modest space near the tower that shows first hand how to grow and cultivate the land.
- Tools Sheds - Used to store teaching tools and loaner equipment for members.
- The Learning Center - A large building where skills can be taught to new members.
- The Well - Source of water for the Compound and its gardens.
- Stables - Place for beasts of burden and livestock of the compound.
- Privy Chamber - Area for taking care of daily business.
- Kitchen - Room or Place equipped for the cooking and storage of food.
- Common Quarters - Rooms for members who are visiting, learning, or working at the compound.
- Cantonment - In areas of heightened unrest, the compound will have a small guard detachment for the safety of the members.
- Officers Billit - Rooms for the leader(s) of the compound.
- Greenhouse - For the care and cultivation of tender plants and seedage.
