Volo or, to use his full name, Volothamp Geddarm is a writer and traveller of the realms, who is famed for his studies on the various places, peoples and monsters that can be found across the continent of Faerun.
Whilst the quality of his work is plain for everyone to see (and read), there is also no doubt that many see him as a notorious embellisher of facts and a bit of a braggart. However, even though he clearly loves his work, travels and studies, his first loyalty is to those he calls his friends. Despite appearing a little pompous, he is a good man at heart and can be charming.
Having finished work on his latest book Volo's Guide To Monsters (and promoted it via a frivolous book tour!), Volothamp is now enjoying some downtime in THE CITY OF WATERDEEP. He's spending much of his time drinking with old friends and considering new projects in THE YAWNING PORTAL.
