Races of Fel'Wind

The world of Fel'Wind is generally populated by Humans, Dwarfs, and Elfs.   Generally elves make up a large portion of Order of the Earth. Therefore, they hold a large amount of power as a race. However, this also comes with a certain level of distrust from the populace.   Elves are thought to have evolved alongside the seasons and have long been a guardian race maintaining a balance of life and death during natural disasters and the like.   Eladrin are a bit more of a reclusive branch of the race, rarer to be seen but around. They tend to be much more concerned with the natural kingdom navigating the catastrophes than the world of humans, but that has all been thrown into the air the past few centuries.   Drow aren't naturally evil in this world. They are more concerned with the inner workings of the earth and are often found in the locations of the quelling machinery. Drow are not a distinct ract, more of an ethnicity and culture. They are a mixture of elven and other cultures. They were predominantly underground dwellers leading to them tending to be lighter skinned. They were driven back to the surface by tectonic movement and reintegrated into surface society. There are still splinter groups of drow who are linked to the spider queen, Lolth though.   Dwarves are thought to have originated in the north of The Spine. A great eruption many thousands of years ago spilled acidic ashen clouds into the air for a century or more. This forced people to live in the mountains and underground whereupon they learned a love of the subterranean and mining.   Goliaths weren't known about or seen until not long after Dunaren set up the Order of the Earth. There is speculation that the goliaths came to be through some side effect of the magic that keeps the earth at bay but as a secretive and rarely seen race, they are not forthcoming with their history. They tend to trace their origin to The Spine, which is where the concentration of quelling machinery is. They haven't shown overt hatred of any race, but certainly don't seek them out.   Firbolg tend to come from the wild east peninsular.
