Knight Ascendant

The Knight Ascendant is the high commander of the Presidiare, the military of Aradis. The role is traditionally patriarchal, and is raised up from among the Presidiare themselves. Usually, a General is chose, although on occasion a particularly heroic warrior has taken the role. The Knight Ascendant can not be raised from the Ten Houses, thanks to the Red River Treaty.
He resides at the Stone of Hardor in Imbar.
