Aldonza “Halfbreeze” Delacosta Grijalva de Cuevas is a shepherdess living in the town of
Aldarin. She is the grandmother of
Guiomar Vela Cuevas.
Personal History
Aldonza was born in Aldarin. She loved nothing more than to sit at the top of the hill overlooking town and watch ships come in to port as her family’s small flock of sheep grazed. One year, a sailor by the name of
Faustino Stormwatcher swept her off her feet, and they married shortly after.
Aldonza figures she should have seen it coming when their daughter
Carmen Cindereyes was swept off her own feet by a
sailor as well, though she wishes it had been one who would have at least stuck around for more than a few weeks at a time. In any case, she loves her grandchildren

Marcelina and Guiomar dearly. She just wishes everyone would come home where they belong!
