CXIX. Storming the Storm Cells
General Summary
The party, having just finished slaying three giant eels in Durssundrr's Eldingite Quarry, debated on the best approach to entering the Storm Cells. The entire city of Durssundrr seemed to be abandoned.
Wynna felt the tide shift begin to shift, a current pushing out from the trench of the quarry in a whirlpool of white water. From this white water formed the draconic maw of the Leviathan that had destroyed the Imperial Armada. Everyone except King and Jäger got swept up by the current, including the group of Storm Giants that the group had freed from their bondage in the quarry. King tied a length of rope around his waist and pulled out a fine cloak, holding the edges in his hands and outstretching his arms so that the cloak caught the flow of water. Jäger grabbed on to the rope and anchored King down as King dragged him behind, and together the two tried to catch up to their friends. Wynna cast the spell Control Water, reversing the current back into Jäger and King again. Caught in the current with them was the Storm Giant Azka, the first one Soora had freed from chains and who had warned her of the eels. Surrounding the inner ring of the city were hundreds of Dhor’s warriors. They formed a line that slowly began to advance as everyone tried to get their bearings. The Ring & Wren decided to take on the Leviathan so that the Storm Giants would have a chance against their corrupted kin. After a fight fought mostly in the dark, the party managed to slay the Leviathan and swam together with Azka above the line of clashing giants, making their way to the Storm Cells. They managed to find a spot in the outer wall that had collapsed. Once inside, their way was blocked by a door that could only be opened by a Storm Giant. The exhausted Azka, weary from working in the mines, managed to open the door with encouragement from Wynna and Roger. Once through, the party was discovered by the guards. Azka turned and went back through the door he had just opened; Roger tried to stop him, but Azka would not be swayed.
“It seemed like in that last fight you were having some trouble.”Amari handed a rock to King, on which he had cast the spell Light.-Amari

“Your tune make me smile. First time in a long time.”Azka left to hold off the guards alone, and the Ring & Wren continued their way into the Storm Cells…-Azka
