Dunwichian Governor

Governor or Governess is title given to the head of each ruling family in Dunwichia. The Governor is chosen within each family when the previous holder of the title has died or decided to retire.
If a ruling family dies out or is deposed, a new family emerges from the city-state's nobility, and the new Governor is chosen from within the new ruling family.
Every year, leadership of the Dunwichian Concord shifts from one Governor to the next. The Governor leads the Concord is referred to as The Crown, and is given a ceremonial crown for the duration of the year. That crown is given to the next Governor during Hivercrest, when the ceremony takes place.
